EDUCATORS’ CONVENTION 2022

Educators’ Convention is a signature event conducted by PREF, Inc. through School of Tomorrow®, Philippines, for all school staff and school heads of schools using the School of Tomorrow® (“SOT®”) system. This event aims to provide inspiration and instruction for upgrading professional skills. This also serves as a venue for sharing experiences and insights with school staff and leaders from different schools using the SOT® system in the Philippines.

This year, we are focusing on the theme UNHINDERED: THE WORLD HAS CHANGED, THE MISSION HAS NOT with topics to be facilitated and presented virtually by champions of the Christian Education movement.

[GENERAL SESSION 01] UNHINDERED: THE WORLD HAS CHANGED, THE MISSION HAS NOT.
The world has changed in a lot of ways, but God’s Word and Mission did not! In this session, our Executive Director will establish the never changing mandate of God in Christian Education as the basis for all succeeding sessions.

[GENERAL SESSION 05] UNHINDERED VICTORY: IF GOD BE FOR US, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US? This session closes the convention with a challenge for educators to take the position of victory in the midst of difficulties.

[MANAGEMENT TRACK 01] BUILDING A COMMUNITY OF FAMILIES A school community is composed not only of the current families enrolled but all families of graduates and former students – even including their extended families. This session will provide suggestions on how to create a dynamic community committed to the vision and mission of the school. Learn from actual experiences and testimonies from the speaker.

[GENERAL SESSION 03] UNHINDERED VOICE: EQUIPPING THE NEXT GENERATION TO CONTEND FOR THE FAITH The battle becomes more intense when students are exposed to humanistic philosophies after graduating from our Christian schools. This session will focus on how to equip our students for the challenges they will face. Learn how we can help our students be a voice for their faith.

[COUNSELLING TRACK 01] UNDERSTANDING THE UNIQUENESS OF EACH CHILD In response to the recommendations from last year’s EdCon, a focus on understanding the uniqueness of each student will be discussed. The session aims to reinforce the ACE School of Tomorrow’s emphasis on individualization with a review on models of how students learn.

[GENERAL SESSION 02] UNHINDERED VISION: REMAINING STEADFAST IN THE WORK OF THE LORD
The home-school agreement is vital to the operations of a school. Parents who do not fulfill their side of the agreement ultimately affects the overall health of the school. This session will outline practical ways on enforcing the spirit of the agreement. Learn how to maintain a good communication with parents as well as deal with uncooperative ones.

[MANGEMENT TRACK 02] REINFORCING THE HOME AND SCHOOL AGREEMENT
The home-school agreement is vital to the operations of a school. Parents who do not fulfill their side of the agreement ultimately affects the overall health of the school. This session will outline practical ways on enforcing the spirit of the agreement. Learn how to maintain a good communication with parents as well as deal with uncooperative ones.

[GENERAL SESSION 04] UHINDERED VITALITY: PRACTICAL WAYS TO BUILD YOURSELF UP
The online delivery mode resulted to fatigue among teachers. This session offers pointers on how to keep oneself spiritually, mentally, and emotionally steady in the midst of the daily challenges in our Christian Education ministry. Learn how to build yourself in the Lord - whether working face-to-face or virtually.

[ACADEMIC TRACK 02] MAKING MATH AND SCIENCE ENJOYABLE Math and Science are usually perceived as subjects that cater to students with higher academic abilities yet both are vital in the development of each child. This session will provide ways to make pacework in Math and Science more enjoyable. Learn how to design enhancement activities to stir interest among students and how to unpack these subjects in a non-threatening fashion.

[COUNSELLING TRACK 02] UNLOCKING THE POTENTIAL OF YOUR STUDENTS
Education is not limited to “pacework” academics. This session aims to explore other ways to bring out the best in each student though co-curricular activities while emphasizing the importance of completing academic requirements.

[ACADEMIC TRACK 01] MANAGING THE LEARNING CENTER: MAINTAINING THE INTEGRITY OF THE PROCEDURES
ACE School of Tomorrow is unique in its setup and system of delivery. In this session, the speaker will discuss the importance of adhering to the non-negotiables of the procedures as a key to the successful operation of a Learning Center.
