NATIONAL STUDENT CONVENTION 2022

The 29th NSC will be stepping out in faith and will be holding competitions partly virtual and mostly on-site. This is our attempt to slowly transition our conventions to the pre-pandemic standards. We hope and pray that you will be able to join us at this momentous event!

This year’s NSC will be held at

SCHOOL OF TOMORROW®, PHILIPPINES HEADQUARTERS

MJS Avenue, Levitown Executive Village Barangay Don Bosco, Parañaque City

Our hybrid format complies with Item 34 of the IMPLEMENTING GUIDELINES ON THE SCHOOL CALENDAR AND ACTVITIES FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR 2022-2023 of the DepEd Order No. 34, series of 2022, which states:

“Curricular and co-curricular activities that involve the in-person gathering of a large number of participants like the National Schools Press Conference, National Science and Technology Fair, National Festival of Talent, and other similar undertakings, may be conducted in hybrid modality subject to the declared alert levels of the country.”

Based on the survey released last May 2022, we will not be including all of the sports events for this year but prepare for next year’s NSC as we plan for a full on-site event.

Technically, it is the same. We will be utilizing the same criteria as stated in the Convention Guidelines. The manner of judging, however, will be different. That is why an event is either virtual or on-site for fair judging.

Judging will start on November 7, 2022, and end on December 2, 2022.

We will not be opening the virtual entries for public viewing. The only time you can view a virtual entry is if it is chosen for a command performance during one of the Rally Nights. You may also get a glimpse of the virtual entries in one of our FLASHBACK videos.

We will be requiring everyone to submit their entries and documents in the following file format:

PDF Format – For composition entries including the Creative Composition Affidavit and other required documents (Music Sheets, Platform Scripts, etc.)

MP4 format. – For all platform and music events. We require all video entries to be raw and unedited in landscape mode. Audio and video should be recorded at the same time. (CLARIFICATION ON MICROPHONE USE)

Platform Events – Whole-body stationary shot including props (if any).

Music Events

Vocals – Half body stationary shot.

Instruments – Whole or half body stationary shot depending on the instrument. Hands should be visible. (Shots should include the face, e.g. piano – no shot of hands only)

Once all your video entries and documents are ready, follow the steps in this article - https://news.schooloftomorrow.ph/2021/11/03/virtual-national-student-convention-uploading-instruction/ Once all your video entries and documents are ready, follow the steps in this article - https://news.schooloftomorrow.ph/2021/11/03/virtual-national-student-convention-uploading-instruction/

The general rule – NO NSC 2022 EVENT PASSPORT, NO ENTRY. We will not be selling tickets during competitions for spectators. All guests are required to pre-register. We will also limit the rally night venue to registered students, sponsors, and guests with passports. Purely virtual delegates will not be given an event passport.

The opening & closing ceremony and rally night events will be streamed live via Facebook. The events will be partially streamed.
